Evil Smilies are also sometimes known as "Acid Smilies" in Canada, where the person wearing such a smiley face shirt was someone you could buy marijuana from.

I am too peaceful to become a real pirate, but I make sure to wear my cool black Pirate Smiley teeshirt when I am windsurfing or kitesurfing. It's not quite the same as looting, raping and pillaging, but it's the thought that counts. Every once in a while - when the sun is setting and I am windsurfing out in the gulf with my evil black pirate smiley shirt... someone will get a glimpse of it and then they just get out of my way without me having to shout at them.
When I'm not off on the high seas on my windsurfer or kitesurfer, I have to settle for my pirate smiley coffee mug. At least it reminds me of the warm days of summer on the high seas - well, almost high seas - let's just say close to the beach on my board.
